About Terri
As most of you are aware, Terri Raines has been diagnosed with Stage 3C high-grade ovarian cancer. It was discovered after completing laparoscopic surgery to remove a large cyst, which ultimately required removing her left ovary. She recently completed an in-depth surgery to remove the primary cancer, secondary tumors, and additional evidence of the cancer discovered in other organs. This was an intensive 7 hour surgery that required her to stay in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. After 4 to 5 weeks of recovery at home, she will begin chemotherapy. Her doctor estimates a duration of 1 year from the beginning of treatment to the end.
Due to the expense of procedures and extended timeframe for treatment, there will be a significant cost for the family, even after insurance. This fundraiser is to help offset the cost of her medical expenses and the loss of income she will sustain over the year of treatment.
